Coding Pro:
The Complete Journey.
One structured 12-month program that takes your child from their very first block of code to a live website they built themselves. Scratch → AI → App Development → Web Development, taught by expert tutors, built by your child.
Curriculum designed by educators & engineers from
Phase 1
Scratch & Visual Logic
Phase 2
AI & Machine Learning
Phase 3
App Development
Phase 4
Web Development
The Curriculum
12 Months. 4 Phases. One Complete Builder.
Each phase builds directly on the last, so by month 12, your child understands how everything connects.
Months 1–3
Scratch & Visual Logic
Building the foundation
Students start with Scratch's visual block system to learn core computational thinking, sequences, loops, events and conditionals. By the end of Phase 1, they have built 3 original projects and understand how programs are structured.
Phase outcome
3 original Scratch projects including an interactive game
Months 4–6
AI & Machine Learning Basics
Understanding the technology of the future
Students discover how AI works, training image recognition models, building AI-powered games and experimenting with machine learning tools designed for young learners. AI stops being magic and starts being understandable.
Phase outcome
An AI-powered project that recognises objects, gestures or voice
Months 7–9
App Development
From idea to running application
Students move from visual logic to structured app design, learning UI layout, user flows, basic state management and how to take an app from concept to a working prototype. The focus is on making things that actually run.
Phase outcome
A working mobile app prototype built and tested on a real device
Months 10–12
Web Development
Publishing to the world
Students learn HTML, CSS and the fundamentals of JavaScript, building real websites that live on the internet. The final month is a capstone project where they design and deploy a personal portfolio site showcasing everything they've built.
Phase outcome
A live personal portfolio website, deployed and publicly accessible
At Graduation
What Your Child Has After 12 Months
90+ Projects Built
Across Scratch, AI, App Development and Web Development, real things that run, not exercises. Every project is kept and showcased.
Live Portfolio Website
Designed, built and deployed by your child in Phase 4. Publicly accessible, permanently shareable, theirs forever.
Certificate for Every Skill Mastered
A Coding Pro completion certificate plus individual skill certificates for each phase, a verifiable record of real achievement.
The Foundation for Everything Next
The skills to pursue any specialisation. Python, Data Science, AI, Game Dev, or more advanced Web Development.
Coding Pro FAQs
What age is Coding Pro designed for?
Coding Pro is structured for children and teens aged 6–17. The pace and complexity of each phase is adapted to the learner's age and ability, a 7-year-old and a 13-year-old both go through the same four phases, but with appropriately different depth and project complexity.
Does my child need any prior coding experience?
No. Coding Pro starts from zero. Phase 1 is designed for complete beginners. If your child already has some coding experience (e.g. they've done Scratch before), we can assess their level and begin them at the appropriate phase.
How many sessions per week does Coding Pro involve?
The standard Coding Pro schedule is one weekly live session, supplemented by self-paced practice on the Homtutor platform between sessions. Families who want to accelerate the 12-month curriculum can schedule additional sessions.
What if my child falls behind or needs to repeat a phase?
There are no rigid deadlines in Coding Pro. If a phase takes an extra month to master, it takes an extra month. The curriculum is a roadmap, not a race. Your child's tutor monitors progress at every session and adjusts the pace accordingly.
What does my child graduate with at the end of the 12 months?
90+ projects built across all four phases, a live personal portfolio website they designed and deployed themselves, and a Certificate for every skill mastered, plus a Coding Pro completion certificate. A real, verifiable body of work.
